How it works for Sellers

How to log in to your Home Page:
- Go to www.hipslibrary.co.uk and enter the Login name of your Estate Agent (if you don't have that name they will be happy to provide it to you) then click the Submit button or press Enter.
- You are now looking at the public view of your Estate Agent's HIP Library. Click on “Seller” – located at the top right-hand corner of the Estate Agents banner. You will now see the list of Properties again but the words Seller and Estate Agent have disappeared.
- Now find the address of your property on the page (either by using the search box or scrolling down the page and click on it and a password box appears. Enter the password for your Property and click Submit
- You are now at the Home page for your Home Information Pack and a toolbar has appeared on the left hand side of the screen.

How to use the Log :
- Your Home page shows you the record of the last 10 events that have taken place. On each entry you can see the date and time the event took place. If you click the Pack Provider's name or the Estate Agent's name you can send an email to them.
- If you want to look at older events click Logs on the toolbar on the left.

How to view the progress of your HIP :
- If you click on the Your HIP Button on the toolbar you can see how your HIP is coming along. Any document that is red is not yet ready. Any document that is green is ready to be published. You can click on the document to view it. The document will then open with the Adobe Acrobat document reader program.
- If you want to print the document press the print icon on the toolbar just above the document.
- If you don't have the Adobe reader Program click "download adobe reader" at the bottom of the screen and you can download the program and it will install on your computer.
- You will see in the box at the top of the list of documents a comments box that will contain any messages that have been posted there by the person responsible for preparing the Pack.

How to set up receiving email notification that an event has occurred:
- If you click on the Settings Button on the toolbar you can see the various settings that apply to your HIP
- If you click on any of the boxes to the left of the events that are listed a tick appears. The next time that event happens an email will be sent to the email address shown on this page advising that the event has occurred and the date and time. If you want to change the email address please send an email to the person responsible for preparing the HIP
- If you click on a box with a tick in it, the tick will disappear and no more emails will be sent for that event.
